Production Engineer – Metal Ceiling & Cladding

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities We are seeking a Production Engineer with 2–5 years of experience in the metal ceiling and cladding industry. The candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring manufacturing activities to ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules are achieved efficiently. The role requires close coordination with engineering, procurement, projects, and quality teams to optimize production processes and support project requirements. Key Responsibilities Plan and oversee daily production activities for metal ceiling and cladding products. Review production drawings, specifications, and work orders before manufacturing. Coordinate with the design and engineering teams to ensure accurate fabrication requirements. Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of orders. Optimize material utilization and minimize production waste. Implement and monitor quality control procedures throughout the manufacturing process. Identify and resolve production bottlenecks and technical issues. Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials and consumables. Ensure compliance with company safety policies and manufacturing standards. Monitor machine performance and coordinate maintenance requirements with the maintenance team. Prepare production reports, productivity analyses, and performance KPIs. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost control. Support costing exercises by providing production-related inputs, labor requirements, and manufacturing methods. Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field. 2–5 years of experience in metal ceiling, cladding, architectural metal works, or sheet metal manufacturing. Strong understanding of fabrication processes, including cutting, punching, bending, welding, and powder coating. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication details. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems. Knowledge of lean manufacturing and production planning principles is an advantage. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Good communication and teamwork abilities. Preferred Skills Experience with CNC machines, turret punching, laser cutting, and press brake operations. Knowledge of aluminum and steel ceiling and cladding systems. Understanding of quality standards and production cost control. Familiarity with project-based manufacturing environments.
