Bar Bending Schedule Engineer

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities BBS Engineer Bar Bending Schedule Preparation Prepare detailed Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) from structural and reinforcement drawings (RCC, precast, etc.) using AutoCAD/RebarCAD or equivalent software. Verify and optimize BBS for steel utilization, cutting lengths, lap lengths, and bar shapes as per project requirements. Ensure that BBS conforms to relevant codes and standards. Coordination & Planning Coordinate with the site planning team to align material requirements with project schedules. Liaise with the Cut & Bend factory production team to plan rebar fabrication, sequencing, and dispatch based on site demand. Ensure all material requisitions and cutting lists are released on time to avoid production or site delays. Conduct daily and weekly planning meetings with factory and site teams to review order status, production progress, and delivery schedules. Quality & Optimization Validate bar details for shape code accuracy, bend radius, and tolerances before releasing to production. Perform material optimization and yield analysis to minimize scrap and ensure maximum utilization of available stock lengths. Collaborate with the quality department to ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures during cutting and bending. Documentation Maintain records of approved BBS, revisions, material consumption, and wastage reports. Track and update production vs. issued schedules and submit periodic progress reports to management. Technical & Process Support Support design and project teams in resolving rebar-related queries and drawing discrepancies. Desired Candidate Profile Experience-3-8Yrs.
