Site Engineer
Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to supervise and coordinate site activities related to structural steel erection, fabrication installation, PEB structures, and construction works. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and project schedules. Key Responsibilities Site Execution & Supervision Supervise daily site activities and ensure work is executed according to approved drawings and specifications. Monitor structural steel erection, installation, alignment, bolting, welding, and related construction activities. Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractors to achieve project targets. Ensure all works are completed within approved schedules and project requirements. Identify and resolve site issues affecting productivity and project progress. Technical Coordination Review IFC drawings, shop drawings, erection drawings, and method statements. Verify dimensions, levels, and alignment before and during installation. Coordinate technical clarifications and site issues with Project Engineers and consultants. Prepare site sketches and coordinate drawing revisions when required. Planning & Progress Monitoring Monitor daily work progress against project schedules. Prepare Daily Progress Reports (DPR) and Weekly Progress Reports. Coordinate with Planning Engineers for progress updates and recovery plans. Track manpower productivity and report delays or constraints. Client & Consultant Coordination Attend site meetings with clients, consultants, and subcontractors. Coordinate inspections and approvals with consultants and QA/QC teams. Ensure all work is executed according to approved specifications and standards. Maintain positive relationships with project stakeholders. Quality Control Coordinate WIR (Work Inspection Requests) and MIR (Material Inspection Requests). Ensure installation quality meets project requirements and approved drawings. Monitor NCRs and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Support QA/QC teams during inspections and testing activities. HSE Compliance Ensure compliance with project HSE requirements and safe work practices. Monitor work-at-height activities, lifting operations, and hot work activities. Ensure workers use appropriate PPE and follow safety procedures. Coordinate with HSE personnel to maintain a safe working environment. Material & Resource Management Verify material availability before commencing work. Monitor material consumption and prevent wastage. Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and warehouse teams regarding material deliveries. Ensure tools, equipment, and machinery are properly utilized. Desired Candidate Profile Education Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related discipline. Experience Minimum 4–8 years of experience in Structural Steel, Industrial Construction, PEB, or Infrastructure Projects. Experience in structural steel erection, fabrication, and installation works is mandatory. GCC/KSA/UAE project experience preferred. Experience handling subcontractors and large site workforces.
