Contract Analyst
Job Description Roles & Responsibilities To be responsible to provide contractual advice for Originating Function and support to prepare contractual correspondence with contractors and bidders. Review and maintain standard contract forms, standard bid document form and update if necessary. Understand and ensure compliance with contract terms, identify and mitigate legal risks for the Company. CANDIDATES FROM ARABIC NATIONALITIES WILL BE PREFERRED Desired Candidate Profile Contract Management § Provide contractual advice to Originating Function and support to prepare contractual correspondence with contractors. § Support Originating Function for contractual matter during tender process. Review bid document, verify acceptance of bid bond, performance guarantee, etc. § Review and maintain standard contract forms, standard bid document form and provides proposals for improvement based on actual work experience, as and when applicable and follows up with CEO Office Senior Lead on updating the manuals upon receiving Management approval. § Support CEO Office Senior Lead to establish contractor performance policy and close-out of contractual matters upon service/project completion. § Maintain and review computerized or manual records (contract logs and contract files) § Consults with lawyers and handles the Company's legal affairs including various contracts and litigation. § Handles all Agreements with the Shareholders, the Host Governments and COMPANY Offshore including the Concession Agreements, the Operation Service Agreement and the Back-up Service Agreements in consultation with CEO Office Senior Lead. § Assist in developing policies related to contract management. § Assess risks in contracts and propose mitigation strategies. Legal Compliance § Ensure legal compliance by reviewing contracts to confirm adherence to applicable laws and regulations. § Keep in contact with the Legal Counsel and Company’s Secretary for any update in UAE and UK Law/Regulation. Implements the requirement in consultation with CEO Office Senior Lead. § Consults with lawyers and handles the Company's legal affairs including various contracts and litigation. § Prepares standard contracts and consults, on legal and/or contractual matters, with other Functions. Quality, Health, Safety, & Environment § Ensure compliance to all relevant quality, health, safety and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the Contract Section to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude. Coordination & Reporting § Ad-hoc assignments that may be requested by the CEO Office Senior Lead. § Support to coordinate Tender Committee Meeting (TENDC) and liaise with TENDC members to seek their approval on bidders list, opening technical proposal, technical evaluation report, opening commercial proposal and awarding successful bidder on request by originating unit as a secretary of TENDC. Continuous Improvement § Contributes to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of the CEO office systems, processes and practices considering ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement. Reports § Prepare timely and accurately departmental reports of the section to meet COMPANY and department requirements, policies and standards. § Prepares Monthly Report for Management’s review in coordination with CEO Senior Lead. Education / Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business administration or other equivalent degree in law. Experience: Preferred:10 years of experience and contract management. Required: 8 years of experience in managing contracts in the oil or related industries with a legal background Technical § Excellent communication, teamwork, negotiation, problem solving, decision making. § Good knowledge of contract law, indemnity, liability, and insurance provisions. § Skills in drafting, reviewing, and editing contracts clearly and accurately § Ability to analyse contract data and metrics to inform decisions. § Ability to identify and assess risks within contracts. § Ability to conduct research on best practices and industry standards Office Based Good communication skills and fluency in English Employment Type Full Time Company Industry Oil & GasPetroleum Department / Functional Area Contract ManagementEstimationTenderingQuantity Surveying Keywords Contract Analyst Get real-time job updates only on our App
