Senior Accountant

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP and company policies. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and management accounts. Lead month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations and journal entries. Supervise and support a team of 2–3 accountants, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of work. Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and cash flow management. Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, corporate tax, and statutory reporting requirements. Coordinate internal and external audits and maintain strong internal controls. Perform financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance reporting. Utilize ERP systems (SAP, SAGE, or similar) to maintain accurate financial records and reporting. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and improve financial processes. Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CMA or CPA preferred, MBA is a plus. Minimum 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience in the UAE. Proficient in ERP System (e.g., SAP, SAGE) Team player with an ability to manage a team of 2-3 accountants. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft excel. Strong understanding of IFRS/GAAP accounting principles and standards. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and accountability. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. UAE driving license and own vehicle preferred! Arabic speaker is a must. Do not apply if you do not speak Arabic.
