Senior Cost Control Engineer

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Develop and maintain detailed cost control systems to monitor project budgets and expenditures effectively. Analyze project data and variances to provide actionable insights that drive cost efficiency and financial performance. Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to establish cost baselines and track progress against them. Prepare and present comprehensive cost reports, highlighting key metrics and forecasts to senior management. Implement risk management strategies to identify potential cost overruns and develop mitigation plans. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, conducting regular audits to maintain accuracy. Lead the preparation of project cost estimates, utilizing advanced modeling techniques for precise projections. Oversee the preparation of contractor payment applications, ensuring accuracy and alignment with contractual terms. Coordinate with procurement teams to assess supplier pricing and optimize material costs. Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus. Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in cost control within the construction or engineering sectors. Professional certifications such as Certified Cost Professional (CCP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) are highly desirable. Experience with cost estimation software and ERP systems, particularly Primavera P6 and SAP. Proven ability to analyze complex data sets and produce clear, actionable reports for decision-making. Strong communication skills to articulate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders effectively. Detail-oriented mindset with exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
