Director of Legal Affairs Department (UAE National Only)
Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Providing legal opinions on matters referred to the department and offering advice regarding them. Managing the department's organizational units, monitoring their performance, and preparing reports to prevent duplication of objectives and tasks among them. Preparing the proposed strategic and operational plan for the department, developing work-related performance indicators, and working to achieve them. Supervising the preparation of legal studies, agreements, and organizational regulations related to the entity's work. Supervising the preparation of memoranda and documentation for legal cases in which the entity is a party, and following up on their progress in coordination with the relevant authorities. Supervising the preparation of all legal statements regarding consultations and inquiries referred to the administration and approving them. Supervising the work of the Violations and Grievances Committees, studying grievances and complaints on matters referred by the competent authorities within the scope of the entity's responsibilities. Supervising the preparation of contracts and their drafts referred from the competent authorities. Supervising the preparation and review of memoranda of proposal to the Council of Ministers or the Ministerial Council for Services regarding the initiatives and legislation of the federal entity. Supervising the drafting of draft laws, decisions, and circulars related to the work of the entity. Coordinating with the State Cases Department in advocacy. Regularly reviewing performance indicators, achievement rates, and the performance evaluation of department staff, and preparing and submitting the department's annual report to senior management. Strengthening relationships with external partners to establish strategic partnerships, developing and motivating internal partners, and managing change to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. Providing necessary support to the direct supervisor and performing any other assigned tasks. Monitoring, evaluating, and improving administrative processes such as planning, budgeting, reporting, and service delivery. Establishing internal plans to develop a team-building culture and continuous learning to ensure the highest quality of work.
