Civil Engineer
Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Design and analyze structural systems, ensuring they meet safety standards and regulations while considering environmental impact. Prepare detailed project plans, including timelines and budgets, to ensure efficient project execution and resource allocation. Conduct site inspections and assessments to monitor construction progress and compliance with design specifications. Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to resolve design issues and implement effective solutions. Utilize advanced software tools for modeling and simulation to predict structural performance under various conditions. Assess and manage risks associated with construction projects, identifying potential challenges and developing mitigation strategies. Oversee the quality control process during construction, ensuring materials and workmanship meet the required standards. Prepare technical reports and documentation for stakeholders, detailing project progress, findings, and recommendations. Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and technologies to enhance project outcomes and ensure compliance. Participate in public consultations and presentations, effectively communicating project details and addressing community concerns. Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with a strong foundation in engineering principles and practices. Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred, demonstrating a commitment to industry standards and ethics. Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience in civil engineering, with hands-on involvement in construction projects. Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other industry-standard design software to create and modify engineering drawings. Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex engineering problems and develop effective, innovative solutions. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate with diverse teams and present ideas clearly. Proven project management experience, showcasing the ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in designs and adherence to regulatory requirements. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project demands and timelines. Physical ability to conduct site visits and inspections, including navigating construction sites safely and effectively. Required Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited university. Mandatory License Dubai Municipality Approved Civil Engineer License Valid approval for G+4 and above category projects UAE driving license preferred Experience Requirements Minimum 5–8 years of experience in building construction in the UAE.
