Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Operations Manager to lead and oversee the company's operational activities across the livestock and agriculture sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end supply chain, ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, cost optimization, and the successful execution of business objectives while leading cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the overall operations of the livestock and agriculture business, ensuring efficiency across the entire supply chain. Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to improve productivity and business performance. Oversee livestock importation processes, including planning, documentation, regulatory approvals, customs clearance, and shipment coordination. Manage relationships with suppliers, farms, quarantine facilities, logistics providers, transport companies, and government authorities. Ensure proper livestock handling, welfare standards, storage conditions, biosecurity measures, and quality control throughout operations. Direct logistics, transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution activities to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. Lead procurement planning for livestock, feed, agricultural inputs, equipment, and operational supplies. Monitor inventory levels and implement effective stock management practices to minimize shortages and wastage. Ensure compliance with all applicable veterinary, agricultural, environmental, health & safety, and regulatory requirements. Prepare and monitor operational budgets while identifying opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency. Analyze operational performance using KPIs and prepare regular management reports with recommendations for improvement. Collaborate closely with Sales, Finance, Procurement, and Executive Management to align operational activities with business objectives. Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity. Lead, mentor, and develop the operations team by promoting accountability, collaboration, and continuous professional development. Conduct regular site visits to farms, warehouses, quarantine facilities, and operational locations to ensure compliance with company standards. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness, customer satisfaction, and profitability. Requirements & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Agriculture, or a related field. Minimum 7–10 years of progressive experience in operations or supply chain management. At least 3–5 years in a managerial or leadership role. Mandatory experience in the Livestock and Agriculture Sector. Strong leadership, people management, and decision-making skills. Excellent analytical, organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities. Strong knowledge of supply chain management, procurement, inventory control, logistics, and operational planning. Sound understanding of livestock importation procedures and relevant regulatory requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with ERP system experience considered an advantage. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Valid driving license is required. Immediate joiners or candidates with short notice periods will be given priority.
