Quantity Surveyor/ Senior Quantity Surveyor

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Prepare cost estimates for projects, including materials, labor, and equipment. Monitor project budgets and ensure that costs are managed effectively. Identify and mitigate potential cost overruns and risks. Work closely with the project team to understand project requirements and provide cost-effective solutions. Conduct cost-benefit analysis to evaluate project feasibility and profitability. Prepare and submit progress reports on project costs to project stakeholders. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and contractors to ensure that materials and services are available when needed. Review and approve invoices and payment requests from suppliers and contractors. Provide guidance and support to project team members on cost-related matters. Maintain the records of variation submitted and approved. Desired Candidate Profile Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. Strong understanding of contract law, FIDIC, NEC, JCT, or other standard forms of contract. Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to build strong working relationships. A minimum of 4-10 years of progressive experience in quantity surveying, preferably within the building or infrastructure sectors. Proficiency in cost estimation software (e.g., CostX, Costbase) and BIM tools.
