Senior Dispatcher

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities The Dispatcher is responsible for planning, executing, and coordinating the timely collection, transportation, and disposal of waste, ensuring alignment with contractual obligations and operational standards. The role focuses on maintaining high customer satisfaction, optimizing resource allocation, and ensuring accurate data management and reporting. Duties and responsibilities Plan and execute daily waste collection activities (hazardous and non-hazardous), ensuring efficiency and compliance with service agreements. Assign and schedule staff and vehicles; generate and communicate work orders to drivers and helpers. Monitor field operations, track progress, and resolve issues related to service delays, customer complaints, or operational disruptions. Supervise and motivate the dispatch team, ensuring performance, discipline, and compliance with safety protocols. Maintain cleanliness and order in the yard and waste handling areas at client sites. Prepare shift handovers, time sheets, collection tickets, and work orders for the upcoming shifts. Coordinate mobilization, maintenance, and demobilization of equipment and vehicles; maintain up-to-date inventory records. Input and cross-verify operational data including staff attendance, overtime, waste collected, and service logs. Liaise with Workshop and Procurement teams for vehicle maintenance and availability of required resources. Ensure all scheduled jobs are executed; report and follow up on failed or delayed jobs. Use GPS tracking systems to monitor vehicle movement and optimize route planning. Foster coordination with internal departments such as Workshop, QHSE, and Credit Control for smooth operational flow. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients; provide timely support and suggest service improvements. Oversee subcontractor activities, ensuring compliance with company and legal standards. Liaise with regulatory and governmental authorities for permits or operational approvals. Prepare monthly and ad hoc reports as requested by the manager. Monitor competitor activities and share market insights with the management. Plan & ensure safe execution of all subcontractor activities, as per company procedures & policies. To liaise with governmental or any other concerned authorities for any required approvals To Prepare the required monthly and /or any other MIS report, as assigned by your reporting manager Monitor market conditions and competitor activity and provide its feedback to the Line Manager To maintain professional and technical knowledge through continuous learning, by attending educational workshop, training and e-learning programs, by reviewing professional publications and by benchmarking best practices Responsible to comply with the applicable HSE and company policies and procedures, UAE laws and applicable regulations To work ethically and to report any violations and acts that may affect the health, safety, environment, ethics and company reputation To Perform any other task, as assigned from time to time by the company, based on business requirement. Desired Candidate Profile Job Specifications a) Education: Graduation or higher, from an accredited University. b) Professional Certification: n/a c) Specialized knowledge: knowledge in planning / logistics preferred d) Skills: Report writing, General Administration, Communication, Organizational, Analytical and Interpersonal skills, Leadership skills and Commercial awareness e) Computer Skills: Computer literate (Microsoft Word, Excel, e-mail, internet, etc.) f) Other characteristics such as personal characteristics: Should be a team player, honest, self-confident, disciplined, highly organized and able to prioritize tasks g) Experience: At least 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably with at least 2 year in the waste management industry. Working conditions Needs to work more independently and mostly from office Standard hours of work. Sometimes, based on business requirements, the employee maybe required to work for extended hours Required to work in any assigned duty timing, in the day or night shift, 6 days a week, with one day off in a week; Also, need to work in any assigned branch or location May be exposed to unpleasant sights and smells and may at times be exposed to dangerous and/or toxic substances and must take necessary precautions to protect eyes, nose and skin from irritation and infection. Physical requirements Expected to dress professionally, as per the company standards There may be a requirement to physically inspect waste on duty. Must be in good health, physically fit and with good vision.
