Equipment Erection Engineer – Mechanical (BESS)

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Supervise the erection and installation of BESS containers, battery racks, PCS (Power Conversion System), transformers, HVAC systems, fire suppression systems, cable trays, and associated mechanical equipment. Review mechanical drawings, layout drawings, erection procedures, and vendor documentation before execution. Coordinate with civil, electrical, and commissioning teams to ensure smooth project execution. Ensure equipment installation complies with project specifications, approved drawings, and OEM recommendations. Verify foundation readiness before equipment installation. Monitor alignment, leveling, grouting, torque tightening, and equipment positioning. Supervise heavy lifting activities involving cranes, trailers, and rigging equipment. Coordinate with vendors during equipment installation and testing. Maintain daily progress reports and installation records. Participate in inspection requests (IRs), quality inspections, and punch-point clearance. Ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures, method statements, and ITPs. Support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities. Coordinate material availability and site logistics. Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with HSE policies and permit-to-work requirements. Desired Candidate Profile 5–12 years of experience in mechanical erection and construction. Minimum 2–3 years of experience in BESS, Solar PV, Substation, Power Plant, or Renewable Energy projects. Experience with utility-scale EPC projects is preferred. GCC/Middle East project experience is an advantage.
