Quality Manager - Solar PV (Mechanical/Electrical/Civil)

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Develop and implement the Project Quality Management Plan (PQMP) for the assigned PV section. Manage QA/QC activities for civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical works related to the Solar PV plant. Ensure compliance with approved Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and Quality Procedures. Review and approve Inspection Requests (IRs), Material Inspection Requests (MIRs), and quality documentation. Coordinate inspections with the client, consultant, EPC team, and subcontractors. Monitor construction quality for piling, foundations, mounting structures, trackers, PV module installation, DC/AC cabling, inverter stations, transformers, and switchgear. Ensure all materials comply with approved specifications and vendor documentation. Monitor Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Corrective Action Reports (CARs), Preventive Action Reports (PARs), and close-out activities. Conduct internal quality audits and subcontractor quality assessments. Review welding, bolting, torque records, concrete test reports, and material test certificates. Lead punch list inspections and mechanical completion activities. Coordinate with commissioning teams to ensure smooth project handover. Prepare quality reports, KPIs, and client presentations. Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems. Mentor QA/QC engineers and inspectors working under the assigned section. Desired Candidate Profile 10–15 years of QA/QC experience in EPC projects. Minimum 5 years as a Quality Manager or Lead QA/QC Engineer. Experience in utility-scale Solar PV, BESS, Power Plant, or Substation projects. GCC/Middle East project experience preferred.
