QC Inspector

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Inspect raw materials, fabricated components, and finished products to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Perform dimensional inspections, including alignment, straightness, hole locations, fit-up, and overall fabrication accuracy. Verify fabrication processes such as cutting, drilling, punching, bending, and welding (where applicable). Prepare and maintain inspection reports, travel cards, and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs). Coordinate with fabrication supervisors to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions. Ensure proper identification, marking, and traceability of fabricated components. Participate in internal and external quality audits and maintain accurate QC documentation. Monitor the calibration status of measuring and inspection equipment. Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies during all inspection activities. Support continuous quality improvement by identifying defects and recommending preventive actions. Desired Candidate Profile Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline. 3–5 years of experience in Tower Fabrication or Heavy Steel Structures Quality Control. Strong knowledge of fabrication drawings, quality inspection procedures, and relevant industry standards. Hands-on experience with dimensional inspection and measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers and gauges. Familiar with fabrication processes including cutting, drilling, punching, bending, and welding inspection. Experience in preparing inspection reports, travel cards, and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs). Good communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve quality issues. Committed to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements. Able to work effectively in a fast-paced fabrication/manufacturing environment.
