HSE Officer
Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Authority Conduct workplace safety inspections. Report unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and incidents. Stop unsafe work in case of immediate danger and inform the supervisor. Recommend corrective actions to improve safety. Verify compliance with HSE procedures and PPE requirements. Accountability Conduct regular HSE inspections. Report hazards, incidents, and near misses promptly. Maintain HSE records and reports. Support HSE training and awareness activities. Monitor compliance with HSE procedures and PPE use. Follow up on corrective actions. Comply with company HSE policies and applicable regulations. Position Summary The HSE Officer is responsible for supporting the implementation of the company's Health, Safety, and Environmental Management System. The role assists in ensuring a safe workplace, promoting compliance with applicable UAE regulations and company procedures, conducting inspections, and supporting HSE awareness initiatives. Desired Candidate Profile Responsibilities Conduct routine workplace safety inspections and report unsafe conditions and unsafe acts. Monitor compliance with the Abu Dhabi Occupational Health and Safety System Framework, company HSE policies, procedures, and Permit to Work requirements. Assist in hazard identification and risk assessments. Participate in incident investigations and help implement corrective actions. Maintain HSE records, inspection reports, and documentation. Conduct toolbox talks and safety inductions for employees and contractors. Monitor the use of Personal Protective Equipment and ensure compliance. Support emergency preparedness activities, including drills and equipment inspections. Assist in environmental monitoring, waste management, and housekeeping inspections. Monitor contractor safety performance during maintenance and project activities. Report HSE observations, near misses, and unsafe conditions promptly. Participate in internal HSE audits and compliance inspections. Support safety campaigns, awareness programs, and employee engagement initiatives. Ensure fire extinguishers, first aid kits, and emergency equipment are inspected and maintained. Maintain the Integrated Hazardous Materials Management System. Perform any other HSE related duties assigned by the HSE Manager or Supervisor. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field. NEBOSH International General Certificate. Basic knowledge of Abu Dhabi Occupational Health and Safety System Framework, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 is an advantage. Experience Three to five years of HSE experience in manufacturing, oil and gas, or industrial environments.
