Project Engineer

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support engineering, design, construction, and startup activities across capital projects within the Oil & Gas/Petrochemical industry, ensuring safe, efficient, and successful project execution. This is a full-time position based in Qatar. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering (Master's degree is an advantage) 5–7 years of project engineering experience within the Oil & Gas industry Experience supporting FEED, Detailed Design, Construction, and Startup phases of capital projects Familiarity with process engineering, plant design, and project execution methodologies Exposure to petrochemical projects is highly preferred Proficient in English; working knowledge of Arabic is an advantage SKILLS & COMPETENCIES Expertise in reviewing process engineering deliverables, including PFDs, P&IDs, plot plans, and process design documentation Experience participating in HAZOP, MOC, PSSR, and process safety evaluations Capable of supporting process control systems, interlocks, shutdown logic, and DCS design reviews Adept at coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams, contractors, and technical consultants Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, and industrial safety standards throughout project execution Effective planning, technical problem-solving, and project coordination capabilities Ability to prepare engineering reports, technical documentation, and project recommendations accurately Desired Candidate Profile .
