Senior Planning Engineer
Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and optimize integrated production and project schedules. Plan and sequence manufacturing activities to maximize productivity and optimize equipment and workforce utilization. Monitor production progress, identify schedule risks, and implement recovery plans. Prepare weekly and monthly production plans, schedule updates, and management reports. Perform resource planning, workload balancing, and capacity forecasting based on production demand. Develop and monitor project resource plans and cost-loaded schedules to support budgeting, cost control, and efficient project execution. Conduct delay analysis, identify the root causes of schedule variances, evaluate their impact on project timelines, and recommend corrective and recovery actions. Coordinate with engineering, procurement, manufacturing, quality, and logistics teams to ensure timely execution. Identify schedule risks and develop mitigation and recovery plans to minimize project delays. Optimize production sequencing, resource allocation, and manufacturing capacity. Generate planning reports, KPIs, and schedule performance analyses. Ensure planning activities comply with API and DNV quality standards( ex. API 6A, 16A, 16C, 16D, 20E & API Q1 10th Edition) along with customer requirements. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning efficiency and manufacturing performance. Maintain accurate planning data within Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP and ensure timely updates to production schedules. Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. Extensive experience as a Planning Engineer in oil and gas equipment manufacturing industry. Proven experience in manufacturing planning for pressure control equipment, wellhead systems, valves, drilling equipment, or related oil and gas products. Strong expertise in: Advanced project and production schedule development. Production sequencing and workflow optimization. Capacity planning and resource optimization. Manufacturing planning and project execution. Thorough knowledge of industry standards and quality management systems, including: API Q1 (10th Edition) API 6A API 16A API 16C API 16D API 20E DNV certification requirements Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Microsoft 365 applications. Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
