Accountant

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to manage financial records, ensure accurate reporting, and support the overall financial health of the business. The role involves handling day-to-day accounting activities, preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger entries. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Process journal entries, accruals, and prepayments. Reconcile bank accounts, supplier accounts, and customer accounts. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. Prepare VAT and tax-related reports where applicable. Assist with internal and external audits. Monitor cash flow and support financial reporting to management. Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records. Support improvements in accounting systems and processes. Requirements Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or CPA is an advantage. Proven experience in an accounting or finance role. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting. Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure. Strong communication and organisational skills. Preferred Skills Experience working in a multi-entity or multi-currency environment. Knowledge of VAT regulations, especially UK or UAE regulations if relevant. Experience with systems such as Odoo, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar.
