Accounting Manager

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our growing construction company. The ideal candidate will oversee the accounting department, ensure accurate financial reporting, manage cash flow, and support the company's financial operations while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and local regulations. Responsibilities: Manage and supervise the daily operations of the accounting department. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities. Monitor project costing, job costing, and budget performance for construction projects. Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor company liquidity. Ensure compliance with local tax laws, VAT requirements, and financial regulations. Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors. Reconcile bank accounts and maintain accurate financial records. Develop and implement accounting policies and internal controls. Prepare financial reports and analyses for senior management. Monitor project profitability and identify cost-saving opportunities. Support budgeting and forecasting processes. Mentor and lead the accounting team. Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification is a plus. Minimum 7-10 years of accounting experience, including 3-5 years in a managerial role. Previous experience in the construction or contracting industry is mandatory. Strong knowledge of project accounting, job costing, and financial reporting. Proficiency in ERP/accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills. Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic.
