Agricultural Engineer

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis for new agricultural projects to ensure economic viability. Collaborate with agronomists and farmers to implement sustainable practices that enhance crop yield and soil health. Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed engineering plans and specifications for agricultural systems. Test and evaluate prototypes of agricultural equipment for performance, safety, and compliance with industry standards. Oversee the installation and maintenance of irrigation systems, ensuring optimal water usage and crop health. Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders. Provide training and support to farmers and agricultural workers on the use of advanced technologies and machinery. Stay updated on emerging technologies and advances in agricultural engineering to continuously improve practices. Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering or related field, with a strong foundation in engineering principles and agricultural science. Professional Engineer (PE) license or similar certification is highly desirable for credibility and career advancement. Proven experience with CAD software and agricultural modeling tools for effective design and simulation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex agricultural challenges and improve processes. Excellent communication skills in English, with proficiency in other languages being a strong advantage. Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams, fostering a cooperative environment. A passion for sustainable agriculture and environmental stewardship to drive innovative solutions. Willingness to travel to rural locations for field assessments and farmer collaboration, adapting to various environments. Physical capability to work outdoors in diverse weather conditions and handle agricultural equipment safely.
