Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Nama Water Services (Oman Water and Wastewater Services Company) is pleased to announce a "Training for Employment" , in collaboration with its contracted companies that offer permanent job opportunities in the water and wastewater sector. Job Title: Application Technical Support Reports To: IT Applications Manager / Service Desk Manager Job Details Number of Vacancies: 4 Positions Salary Range: OMR PHONE_NUMBER per month Work Location: All governorates of Oman except Dhofar (Preference will be given to applicants from the local governorate) Job Purpose The Application Technical Support role is responsible for providing technical assistance and functional support for business applications, ensuring smooth system operation, resolving user issues, and maintaining application performance across the organization. Key Responsibilities Provide first and second-level support for business applications. Troubleshoot and resolve application-related technical and functional issues. Assist users in system navigation, data entry, and application processes. Monitor application performance and report system issues or errors. Coordinate with development and infrastructure teams to resolve complex issues. Support application installation, configuration, and updates. Assist in system testing, deployment, and enhancement activities. Maintain application documentation, user guides, and support procedures. Ensure data accuracy and proper system usage by end users. Support training sessions and onboarding of new users. Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field. Practical Experience: 0 (No prior work experience required) Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Basic understanding of application support and software systems. Familiarity with databases and basic SQL concepts (advantage). Knowledge of Windows/Linux environments is an advantage. Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Understanding of IT service management processes. Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications. Strong communication and customer service skills. Good analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work under supervision and follow procedures. Attention to detail and accuracy. Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems. Office-based work environment. May require coordination with multiple departments and occasional support during system updates or incidents. The applicant must be a job seeker. The applicant must be an Omani national. For applicants with previous work experience, at least three (3) months since their last employment movement recorded in the Ministry of Labour system, as of the date of this announcement. The applicant must not have previously benefited from any training program funded by either the public or private sector. The applicant must have no more than three (3) years of work experience.
