Assistant General Manager
Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Assistant General Manager has to perform various duties for the MEP, HVAC and Stainless-Steel Manufacturing division of the company. Responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the company. Review business results, including profitability, and plan for continued improvement. Provide and develop design and new business and operate the division as profit centre. Review and comment on Tender Documents including Bills of Quantities, Value Engineering, queries and the like. Maintain knowledge of the overall construction processes and operating practices in the GCC and ensure awareness of the suppliers and sub-contractors in the market. Monitor the performance of the consultants and contractors with regards to the aspect to ensure compliance with the relevant standards and specifications. Attend all periodic progress & technical meetings held with all relevant parties. Develop close business relationships with the project professional team. Monitor site inspection plans and approval process and participate in the testing and commissioning process in coordination with the project leaders. Interface/coordinate logistics & quality assurance with Project Team companies Identify and highlight problems in advance of impact on the works. Ensure a smooth operation of the works and contracts. Supervise the day-to-day task assignments and performance for all associates. Plan and prepare work schedules and coordinate daily assignments and activities of associates to meet the needs of the business. Monitor and analyze business processes and results to profitably achieve company’s Goals. Include, review and analyze reports, completing the company’s performance tracking board, and managing shrink and spoilage. Analyze results and trends and prepare action plans to leverage the company’s strengths and address areas of opportunity. Ensure the execution of all action plans. Report to the management periodically the status of the company and advise necessary actions to be taken.
