Assistant manager E&I - E&I Shift Incharge

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Leverage relevant technical knowledge and experience to contribute to the effective design, procurement and delivery of technical goods and services including Primary and Secondary electrical and instrumentation substation equipment and services. Preventive and corrective maintenance, documentation, and maintenance management of bulk handling systems including truck unloaders, conveyor systems, stacker, mobile hoppers, and ship loader for pet coke and sulphur handling. Develop and implement preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance plans for electrical and instrumentation systems. Manage manpower, materials, and support automation and electrical systems such as Substation, PLCs, drives, instruments. Maintain and update SAP based work orders, job plans and maintenance records. Coordinate troubleshooting and root cause analysis for recurring issues on stackers, conveyors and ship loaders. Handle operation, maintenance and troubleshooting for 11kv/440v substation with SCADA control. Handle operation, maintenance and troubleshooting for F & G system, FACP & CACP systems. Handle operation, maintenance, calibration & troubleshooting for field instruments, transmitters, flowmeters. Handle operation, maintenance and troubleshooting for VFD, Siemens S7 series DCS/PLC systems. Supervise maintenance teams during shutdowns, overhauls and emergency breakdowns. Ensure adequate availability of spare parts, consumables and tools. Provide comprehensive technical support to the E & I manager relevant to discipline. Establish and maintain professional working relationship with all internal and external stakeholders for successful project delivery. Actively contribute to planning, scoping and estimating for projects, bids and tenders. Manage and control site documentation & safety related permit system. Oversee day to day operation of bulk material handling systems for pet coke & sulphur. Coordinate with operations control room and field teams to ensure smooth equipment performance. Monitor system parameters throughput and equipment health to minimize downtime. Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety standards. Ensure all operations and maintenance activities comply with Delta HSE policies and procedures. Conduct safety risk assessments, toolbox talks and permit to work inspections. Promote a culture of safety, housekeeping and environmental awareness among team members. Monitor compliance to applicable industry standards, codes and regulatory requirements. Propose ideas and take actions to improve team delivery and business needs. Contribute to innovative and practical ways to meet business needs. Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical and Electronics) with certified CEP/AEP. Diploma in Electrical & Electronics/Instrumentation with certified CEP/AEP. 7 -10 years work experience in Port/ Plant / MEPF / Utility Maintenance. 10 -13 years work experience in Port/ Plant / MEPF / Utility Maintenance (Diploma holders). Comprehensive knowledge of installation and operation of common Primary and Secondary electrical equipment and systems used in High Voltage Transmission or Distribution Substations. Working understanding of project management principles. Ability to prepare and maintain maintenance logs, calibration reports as per company and regulatory requirements. Knowledge about fire and gas system. Knowledge of requirements for effective scoping, sourcing, procuring and managing of suppliers and service providers. Knowledge and understanding of applicable standards, codes and regulatory requirements. Comprehensive knowledge of Work Health and Safety requirements. Experience managing end to end procurement of technical goods and services with positive outcomes. Hands-on experience with PLCs (Siemens, ABB), SCADA systems, and various industrial drives (WEG). Experience in calibration, maintenance planning, and safety systems management. Familiarity with communication protocols such as Profibus, Profinet, and Modbus. Experience managing stackers, reclaimers, wagon loaders, silo and ship loader troubleshooting & maintenance. Demonstrates learning agility and continuous improvement.
