Backend Engineer (Node.JS/Nest)

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities What You’ll Do Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js and NestJS. Build scalable and maintainable server-side applications. Design and consume RESTful APIs and integration services. Work with relational and NoSQL databases to support application requirements. Implement caching mechanisms and optimize backend performance. Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, and product teams to deliver new features. Support troubleshooting, debugging, and issue resolution activities. Contribute to clean architecture, code quality, and backend best practices. Participate in CI/CD and deployment processes. Work within Agile development methodologies and collaborative engineering teams. Support continuous improvements in performance, scalability, and reliability. What You’ll Need Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields. 2–4 years of backend development experience. Strong proficiency in Node.js and familiarity with NestJS. Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs. Good knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL. Experience with at least one NoSQL database such as MongoDB. Understanding of caching technologies such as Redis. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms; AWS experience is a plus. Understanding of clean code principles and software design patterns. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Good communication and teamwork abilities. Willingness to learn, collaborate, and grow within a structured engineering team. Experience with REST and SOAP integrations. Basic understanding of asynchronous programming concepts. Exposure to monitoring and observability tools such as New Relic or CloudWatch. Experience working in Agile environments or large-scale backend systems. Awareness or knowledge of IT security best practices as defined by ISO / SOC or similar.
