Chargehand Pipe Fitter

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities To oversee and lead a team of pipe fitters in the installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems, ensuring that all work is performed safely, efficiently, and according to technical specifications and project requirements Supervise and guide pipe fitters on-site to ensure proper installation of pipes, valves, and fittings. Interpret construction drawings, isometric diagrams, and P&IDs to plan and execute pipe work. Coordinate with foremen, engineers, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow and avoid conflicts. Inspect completed work for compliance with safety and quality standards. Ensure the correct materials, tools, and equipment are available and used properly. Monitor progress and report daily activities and productivity to the site supervisor or project manager. Train and mentor junior pipe fitters or helpers. Enforce safety regulations and participate in toolbox talks and safety meetings. Identify and resolve issues or delays in a timely manner to maintain project timelines.
