Chief Accountant

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Chief Accountant to oversee the company's accounting operations and ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting. The successful candidate will manage day-to-day accounting activities, prepare financial statements, supervise accounting staff, support budgeting and financial analysis, and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and tax regulations. Key Responsibilities Manage and supervise daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports. Ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of all financial transactions. Perform bank, balance sheet, and general ledger reconciliations. Monitor accounts receivable and payable and ensure timely settlements. Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, provisions, and account adjustments. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow planning. Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies. Coordinate with external auditors and provide required financial documentation. Support the preparation of tax returns and other statutory financial requirements. Monitor internal controls and identify opportunities to improve accounting processes. Supervise, train, and support junior accounting team members. Provide management with financial information and analysis to support business decisions. Maintain accurate and organized accounting records and documentation.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably including experience as a Chief Accountant or Senior Accountant. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting. Experience with ERP/accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of local tax and statutory requirements is preferred.
