Chief Accountant (Healthcare)

Provide financial expertise and guidance to hospital leadership and department managers. Develop and maintain departmental budgets, tracking expenditures and ensuring fiscal responsibility. Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and benefits administration for all hospital staff. Manage the accounts payable and receivable functions, optimizing cash flow and vendor relationships.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; Master's degree preferred. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is highly desirable. Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory role within the healthcare industry. Proven expertise in healthcare financial reporting, revenue cycle management, and regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid). Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., ERP systems, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic healthcare environment.
