Chief Technology Officer

The Role: Working alongside an existing engineering team, you will take ownership of technical architecture, support product development and help scale a complex AI-driven platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical architecture and development across AI agents, LLMs and backend systems
• Provide hands-on expertise in Python, software engineering and system integrations
• Challenge architectural decisions and establish scalable engineering practices
• Guide the existing engineering team and contribute to the wider technology roadmap
• Work closely with the founder to translate business objectives into technical solutions

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Python, LLM architecture, AI agents and scalable backend systems
• Experience designing and developing complex software products
• Previous technical leadership experience, ideally within a start-up or scale-up
• Strong understanding of APIs, integrations and software architecture
• Maritime, shipping or procurement experience would be highly advantageous
• An entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to remain hands-on

Desired Candidate Profile
