Civil Engineer

Ø Review drawings and specifications. Ø Plan resources and daily work schedules. Ø Supervise site civil works and ensure timely completion. Ø Conduct daily briefings and enforce safety procedures. Ø Coordinate with QA/QC, consultants, and clients. Ø Track and report daily progress. Ø Ensure quality, prevent rework, and minimize waste. Ø Participate in inspections, risk assessments, and documentation. Ø Support sustainability and wellbeing practices. Ø Assist in project close-out and handover activities. Ø Supervise underground civil works including excavation, duct and trough installation, HDD/NDRC, backfilling, and associated infrastructure works. Ø Review and interpret cable route layouts and trench cross-sections. Ø Coordinate closely with electrical engineers, safety officers, subcontractors, and authorities. Ø Monitor site progress and prepare weekly/monthly progress reports. Ø Conduct site inspections and enforce quality standards. Ø Address technical issues and challenges during site execution. Ø Verify that materials, workmanship, and installations strictly adhere to approved specifications, drawings, and client requirements, ensuring zero compromise on quality. Ø Support in preparing as-built drawings and reconciliation for final documentation. Ø Verify and monitor subcontractor performance in line with project scope and timelines. Ø Ensure compliance with client specifications and coordinate for necessary approvals. Ø Maintain up-to-date records of site activities, material usage, and manpower allocation. Ø Conduct joint measurements and support quantity surveyors for billing and certifications. Ø Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely material availability as per site needs. Ø Assist the Project Engineer and Project Manager in preparing technical submittals, method statements, and construction schedules. Ø Actively participate in project review meetings and progress discussions. Ø Monitor site housekeeping and environmental compliance. Ø Ensure all planned RFIs (Request for Inspections) meet authority requirements and are prepared accurately to avoid rejection. Ø Mentor junior staff and site supervisors to ensure proper technical guidance and implementation of best practices. Desired Candidate Profile Ø 1–4 years of experience in electrical site engineering, with at least 1 year in high-voltage cable installation (132kV or above) preferred Ø Experience in other utilities /roads, as well as infrastructure projects, will be considered. Ø Strong underground cable trenching, ducting, backfilling, and utility protection knowledge.
