Cost Control Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Cost Control Engineer with a background in Fit-Out, GRC, Ready-Mix Concrete, Precast, or related construction and manufacturing industries. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring project costs, preparing budgets, analysing cost variances, and ensuring effective cost management throughout project execution and operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, monitor, and maintain project budgets and cost control systems
• Monitor actual project expenditure against approved budgets and identify cost variances
• Prepare periodic cost reports, forecasts, and budget performance reports
• Analyse project costs, material consumption, labour costs, equipment expenses, and overheads
• Monitor project commitments, purchase orders, subcontractor costs, and supplier payments
• Conduct cost variance analysis and recommend corrective actions to control project expenditure
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Procurement, Finance, Production, and Engineering teams
• Monitor BOQs, project quantities, material requirements, and resource utilisation
• Prepare cost forecasts, cash flow projections, and monthly cost reports
• Identify potential cost overruns and provide recommendations to management
• Maintain accurate cost records and ensure compliance with approved budgets and procedures

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in cost control within construction, manufacturing, or engineering industries. Experience in one or more of the following industries is preferred: Fit-Out GRC Manufacturing Ready-Mix Concrete Precast Concrete UAE/GCC experience is preferred. Strong knowledge of project budgeting, cost estimation, cost monitoring, and variance analysis. Experience in preparing cost reports, forecasts, and financial projections. Employment Type Full-time
