Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Job Description – Cybersecurity Engineer Position Cybersecurity Engineer / Cybersecurity Specialist Experience 4–8 Years Location UAE – Dubai / Abu Dhabi Employment Type Full-Time / Contract Work Mode Onsite / Hybrid – As per client requirement Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer to design, implement, monitor, and maintain security solutions across enterprise IT environments. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in security operations, threat detection, vulnerability management, SIEM, endpoint security, identity and access management, and cloud security. Experience working with enterprise and cloud environments will be highly preferred. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain enterprise cybersecurity solutions. Monitor security events and identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities. Investigate security incidents and perform root-cause analysis. Configure and manage SIEM, EDR/XDR, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and security monitoring tools. Develop and maintain security monitoring and threat-detection rules. Perform vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation activities. Support incident response, threat hunting, and security investigations. Implement security controls across AWS, Azure, or GCP environments. Work with IAM teams to implement secure authentication, authorization, and access controls. Support Zero Trust security initiatives. Conduct security assessments of applications, infrastructure, networks, and cloud environments. Work with IT and engineering teams to integrate security into development and deployment processes. Participate in security audits, compliance assessments, and risk-management activities. Prepare security reports, dashboards, and incident documentation. Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, attack techniques, and security technologies. Mandatory Skills 4–8 years of experience in Cybersecurity / Information Security. Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and enterprise security architecture. Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, QRadar, or equivalent. Experience with EDR/XDR solutions. Knowledge of network security, firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, and endpoint security. Experience with Vulnerability Management. Knowledge of security incident investigation and response. Good understanding of IAM, SSO, MFA, RBAC, and privileged access management. Experience with at least one major cloud platform – Azure, AWS, or GCP. Good understanding of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, or SOC 2. Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, network protocols, and common attack vectors. Good scripting knowledge using Python, PowerShell, or Bash is preferred. Have excellent incident investigation and troubleshooting capabilities. Be able to identify and respond to evolving cyber threats. Understand enterprise security architecture and risk management. Have strong communication and stakeholder-management skills. Be comfortable working in a fast-paced and highly security-conscious environment. Be willing to participate in on-call / incident-response activities when required. Education Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related discipline.
