Datacenter Supervisor
Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Datacenter Supervisor is responsible for high-quality IT service delivery to customers in alignment with agreed SLAs, KPIs, and contractual commitments. The role oversees datacenter operational performance, customer satisfaction, service governance, and continuous service improvement across all managed facilities, The role ensures high engagement, availability, compliance and cost optimization strategic initiatives. Key Responsibilities Operations Management Supervise 24x7 data center operations. Ensure uptime and availability of critical infrastructure. Monitor electrical, mechanical, and environmental systems. Review operational logs, alarms, and event reports. Coordinate shift activities and handovers. Review, Update documents Critical Facilities Management Manage UPS, generators, PDU, ATS, CRAC/CRAH, chillers, and cooling systems. Maintain MDFs, IDFs, and FECs, i Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance activities are completed. Perform infrastructure health checks and capacity reviews. Support commissioning and testing activities for new installations. Inventory control and asset tagging , Labelling Incident & Problem Management Lead incident response and escalation management. Participate in Major Incident Management (MIM). Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA). Implement corrective and preventive actions. Change Management Review and approve infrastructure changes. Ensure compliance with Change Management processes. Conduct risk assessments for planned maintenance activities. Team Leadership Supervise Data Center Operators and Engineers. Manage shift schedules and resource allocation. Conduct performance reviews and training. Develop team competency and certification plans. Vendor Management Coordinate with OEMs, facility vendors, and service providers. Manage and maintain the contracts Review vendor performance against SLAs. Supervise maintenance contractors during on-site activities. Compliance & Governance Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, ISO 20000, and organizational policies. Maintain audit records and operational documentation. Enforce safety procedures and permit-to-work processes. Ensure physical security controls are followed. Capacity & Availability Management Monitor power, cooling, rack space, and network utilization. Forecast capacity requirements. Support infrastructure expansion planning. Continuous Service Improvement (CSI) Identify service gaps and improvement opportunities. Drive operational efficiency. Implement corrective and preventive actions. Track MTTD, MTTR, SLA compliance, and trend analysis. Team Leadership Lead cross-functional technical teams including multiple vendors Conduct performance reviews and mentoring. Ensure resource planning and skill development. Drive operational excellence culture.
