Design Manager - Architecture

We are seeking an accomplished Design Manager to join a leading architectural practice based in Dubai. This is an excellent opportunity for a design-minded leader to oversee design quality, coordination and delivery across a diverse portfolio of projects, ensuring every scheme meets the highest standards from concept through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the design process across multiple projects, ensuring design intent is maintained from concept through to construction documentation Manage and coordinate design teams, allocating resources and ensuring deliverables are produced on time and to a high standard Lead design coordination with structural, MEP, fa ade and landscape consultants, resolving clashes and technical issues Review drawings, specifications and submissions to ensure quality, consistency and compliance with client briefs Manage design programmes, deliverables and approvals with local authorities, including Dubai Municipality and Civil Defence Act as a key point of contact for clients, presenting design progress and managing expectations Implement and maintain design standards, processes and BIM protocols across the studio Mentor and develop architects and designers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment Work closely with directors to support business development, including bids and proposals What s on Offer: Opportunity to work on prestigious, large-scale projects in one of the world s most dynamic cities A design-led studio culture that values quality and innovation Competitive salary package and benefits Clear career growth within a respected architectural practice If you are a passionate design leader ready to take the next step in your career and make a significant impact on the quality of delivered architecture, we would love to hear from you

Requirements

Minimum 10+ years of experience in architecture, with at least 3 years in a design management, associate or senior leadership role Architectural qualification, with international chartership such as RIBA or AIA preferred Proven experience delivering large-scale mixed-use, high-rise, commercial or hospitality projects Previous GCC experience, ideally in Dubai, with a strong understanding of local authority approval processes Strong knowledge of design stages, consultant coordination and technical detailing Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, with experience of BIM coordination and common data environments Excellent communication, presentation and leadership skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
