Engineering Manager

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities About the Role Our client is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the design, development, and delivery of large-scale cloud-native products. You ll manage high-performing Agile engineering teams while remaining hands-on with architecture and technical leadership. This role requires someone who can balance engineering excellence, people leadership, and successful project delivery across web and mobile platforms. Key Responsibilities: Lead multiple Agile Scrum engineering teams delivering enterprise-scale products. Own the architecture, design, and delivery of cloud-native microservices. Drive end-to-end project delivery, ensuring timelines, quality, and budget expectations are met. Partner closely with Product Managers, Architects, DevOps, QA, and Release teams. Define technical roadmaps and make key architectural decisions. Promote engineering best practices, clean code, testing, CI/CD, and automation. Mentor and grow engineering talent through coaching and technical leadership. Drive performance, scalability, and reliability across platforms. Ensure successful delivery of web and mobile applications. Manage stakeholder communication and proactively resolve delivery risks. Foster a high-performance engineering culture focused on customer outcomes. Desired Candidate Profile Requirements: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field. 12-15 years of software engineering experience. 8+ years of hands-on software development experience. 4+ years leading engineering teams in an Engineering Manager or similar role. Strong experience building cloud-native applications and microservices. Deep expertise in Java/J2EE, with experience in Node.js or Go being advantageous. Strong knowledge of REST APIs, Domain-Driven Design, and distributed systems. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Hands-on experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps practices. Experience developing Java-based web applications using MVC frameworks. Experience delivering React Native, Android, and iOS applications. Proven experience building high-scale, high-performance systems. Strong understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies. Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills. eCommerce experience is desirable.
