Coordinate the preparation of annual operating budgets (individual company and for the group), departmental budgets and capital expenditure (CAPEX) plans. Work closely with functional heads to develop realistic budgets aligned with business objectives and operational requirements. Consolidate departmental budgets and ensure consistency, accuracy and alignment with organisational financial targets. Monitor budget utilisation and identify potential cost overruns, savings opportunities and areas for financial optimisation. Support the development of financial models, cost assumptions and budget planning scenarios. Prepare periodic financial forecasts, including monthly, quarterly and annual projections. Develop rolling forecasts based on business performance, operational requirements, project pipelines and market conditions. Analyse revenue, expenditure, cash flow and profitability trends to support financial planning. Conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis to assess the potential financial impact of business decisions. Collaborate with departments to update forecasts based on actual performance and changing business requirements. Conduct detailed budget versus actual analysis to identify and explain financial variances. Investigate significant deviations in revenue, direct costs, overheads, manpower costs and project expenditure. Prepare variance reports highlighting key drivers, financial implications and corrective actions. Work with department heads to develop and monitor action plans for addressing adverse variances. Identify opportunities for cost optimisation, operational efficiency and improved resource utilisation. Monitor key cost drivers, including material consumption, labour productivity, overtime and project-related expenses. Prepare and publish periodic financial MIS reports, dashboards and management presentations. Develop and maintain financial performance dashboards covering revenue, gross margins, operating expenses, EBITDA, cash flow and budget utilisation. Provide timely and accurate financial information to senior management to facilitate informed decision making. Analyse financial and operational KPIs and highlight emerging trends, risks and improvement opportunities. Standardise and automate MIS reporting processes to improve accuracy, consistency and reporting efficiency. Present financial insights in a clear, concise and business-oriented manner. Reconciliation on project wise profitability (Actual Vs Budget), reported vs actual financial profitability. Partner with functional heads, project teams, procurement, operations and HR to support financial planning and cost management. Evaluate the financial viability of business proposals, operational initiatives and capital investments. Support profitability analysis, project costing, resource allocation and return on investment assessments. Provide analytical support for strategic initiatives, business reviews and management meetings. Translate financial data into meaningful insights and practical recommendations for business stakeholders. Ensure the accuracy, integrity and consistency of financial data used for budgeting, forecasting and reporting. Coordinate with the Finance & Accounts team to reconcile MIS reports with actual financial records. Strengthen budgetary controls, reporting procedures and financial monitoring mechanisms. Identify opportunities to improve financial planning processes through automation, standardisation and digital tools. Maintain appropriate documentation, audit trails and confidentiality of financial information. Handle invoicing, group trial balance and group cost management.

Desired Candidate Profile

Professional qualifications such as CMA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or an MBA in Finance would be an advantage. Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, fabrication, construction or project-based organisation is preferred. Experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting tools. Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and financial planning. Proficiency in financial modelling, variance analysis and cost management. Advanced MS Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, lookups, financial formulas and data analysis. Proficiency in Power BI or similar data visualisation and reporting tools would be an advantage. Working knowledge of ERP systems, SAP and financial reporting platforms. Strong understanding of financial statements, management accounting and key financial performance indicators. Ability to interpret complex financial data and convert it into actionable business insights. Analytical thinking and problem solving. Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
