Finance Manager – Shipping Agency & Freight Forwarding | Djibouti We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to lead all finance, treasury, and compliance activities for our shipping agency and freight forwarding operations in Djibouti. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Accounting & Controls Review supporting documents for completeness, approvals, and accuracy before posting. Ensure 3-way matching of Invoices, POs, Delivery Notes, and Contracts. Verify tax applicability and rates on all transactions. Prepare, validate, and post accounting entries in the ERP. Maintain proper filing of all accounting records, bank reconciliations, and loan documents. Period-End Closing Ensure accurate revenue recognition, AP closure, and cost accruals. Complete cash and bank postings and reconcile all active bank accounts. Process Fixed Asset capitalization and CWIP postings. Calculate employee benefit provisions (leave salary, bonus, end of service). Deliver monthly Trial Balance and MIS reports to the Head Office. Treasury Management Manage cash flow, borrowings, debt, and capital requirements. Allocate cash balances and arrange funds as required. Maintain investment records. Prepare expense and earnings forecasts. Shipping Agency & Freight Forwarding Finance Handle customer invoicing and prepare Proforma and Final Disbursement Accounts (PDA/FDA). Prepare and submit SOAs to Principals and reconcile variances. Track voyage accounts and post them on time to AR/AP. Monitor receivables, follow up on overdue accounts, and escalate where needed. Ensure timely payments to the Port Authority. Tax & Statutory Compliance File periodic direct and indirect tax returns. Ensure timely payment of taxes and CNSS contributions. Ensure compliance with local labour laws and regulations. Business Partnering Support the Country GM on financial monitoring and budgetary control. Prepare periodic cash flow and financial position statements. Support the annual budget and Board Meeting packs.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting; CA, CMA, ACCA, or CPA preferred. 8–12 years of experience, with at least 3 years in shipping or logistics finance. Strong knowledge of PDA/FDA, voyage accounting, and treasury. Hands-on ERP experience (SAP/Oracle or similar). Fluency in French and English Willing to relocate to Djibouti.
