Foreman - Joinery & Wood Works (Maldives)

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Supervise and manage daily joinery and woodworks production activities in the factory/workshop. Lead a team of carpenters, machine operators, assemblers, and installers. Monitor production schedules and ensure targets are achieved on time. Interpret shop drawings and coordinate work execution accordingly. Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout production and assembly processes. Monitor material usage and minimize wastage. Coordinate with Production Manager, Engineers, QA/QC, and Planning teams. Conduct inspections of finished products before delivery or installation. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and housekeeping requirements. Resolve production issues and provide technical guidance to the workforce. Monitor machinery and equipment utilization and report maintenance requirements. Prepare daily progress reports and manpower allocation plans. Desired Candidate Profile Diploma or Technical Certification in Carpentry, Wood Technology, Furniture Manufacturing, or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in joinery and woodworks production, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/foreman role. Strong experience in joinery factory operations and furniture manufacturing. Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, production drawings, and cutting lists. Knowledge of woodworking materials such as MDF, plywood, veneer, laminate, solid wood, and hardware fittings. Experience supervising carpenters, machine operators, and assembly teams. Familiarity with CNC machines, edge banding, panel saws, and woodworking equipment is an advantage. Strong understanding of quality control and production planning. Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. GCC experience preferred. Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
