General Accountant

Handle general accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and month-end closing. Prepare annual budgets in coordination with different departments. Collect, review, and consolidate departmental budget submissions. Monitor actual revenue and expenses against approved budgets. Prepare monthly budget-versus-actual reports. Investigate budget variances and provide clear explanations. Assist in preparing financial forecasts and cash-flow projections. Prepare management reports, cost analyses, and financial summaries. Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations. Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure compliance with UAE VAT requirements and accounting standards. Assist with internal and external audits. Recommend improvements to budgeting, reporting, and financial-control processes.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Minimum 3–5 years of general accounting experience. Proven hands-on experience in the complete budgeting process. Experience in budget preparation, forecasting, monitoring, and variance analysis is mandatory. Strong knowledge of general accounting and financial reporting. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience using ERP or accounting software. UAE accounting experience is preferred. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to coordinate with department heads and meet reporting deadlines. CMA, ACCA, CPA, or a similar professional qualification is an advantage. Employment Type Full-time
