Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Job Title: General Accountant (No. 2 to Head Accountant) Location: Umm Al Quwain (UAQ), UAE Company: Renovation Furniture Trading LLC Job Type: Full-time, In-person (Located at our UAQ Warehouse) Who We Are At RFT Gulf (Renovation Furniture Trading LLC), we have over 40 years of experience delivering top-tier flooring and window treatment solutions across the UAE and Oman. We operate directly with our clients, bringing a collaborative and high-quality approach to every project. As our operations expand, our finance department is growing too. We have a close-knit, highly collaborative accounts team of 4, and we are looking for a reliable, sharp, and detail-oriented General Accountant to join us at our office in Umm Al Quwain. This isn't just a basic bookkeeping role—you will step in as the No. 2 to our Head Accountant, helping lead our small team, run the department smoothly, and step up when the Head Accountant is away. The Role: What You’ll Be Doing While you will have your hands in various aspects of general accounting, one of your primary domains and daily focus will be managing our Accounts Payables (AP). You will be the vital gatekeeper of our vendor relationships and outgoing cash flow. Your core responsibilities will include: Owning the Accounts Payable Process: Managing end-to-end AP, from receiving and verifying supplier invoices to scheduling payments, reconciling vendor statements, and resolving discrepancies. Being the No. 2: Working closely with the Head Accountant on month-end closures, preparing financial reports, and ensuring all records are completely accurate. General Ledger & Reconciliations: Keeping our books balanced, conducting regular bank reconciliations, and posting journal entries. VAT & Compliance: Assisting in the preparation and filing of UAE VAT returns in accordance with Federal Tax Authority regulations. Collaborative Support: Working alongside our structured 4-person accounts team to streamline financial operations and ensure smooth internal communication. Here is what we are offering: Gross Salary: 6,000 to 7,000 AED monthly (depending on your depth of experience). Residence Visa: Provided fully by the company. Labour Card: Provided fully by the company. Mobile Phone Contract: A dedicated mobile contract will be provided for business communication. Medical Insurance: Comprehensive health insurance provided as per UAE law. Annual Leave: Paid time off provided in strict accordance with UAE Labour Law. Air Ticket: A return air ticket to your home country provided once every 2 years. Desired Candidate Profile What We’re Looking For (About You) We highly value communication, a proactive attitude, and a strong work ethic. Experience: 3 to 5 years of solid accounting experience, ideally within the UAE. AP Expertise: A proven track record of managing high-volume Accounts Payables with extreme accuracy. Local Knowledge: Strong understanding of UAE VAT laws and standard accounting practices. Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in accounting ERP software and advanced MS Excel skills.
