Job Description Roles & Responsibilities What You ll Be Doing Support the GIS Development Lead in configuring and developing GIS components of the Operational Digital Twin across discovery, design, PoC, implementation, and post-implementation support phases Assist in configuring and publishing map services, feature services, web maps, and web/mobile GIS applications using the Esri ArcGIS platform (ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro) Help develop and maintain geoprocessing tools, scripts, and automation routines to support data loading, transformation, validation, and analysis for Digital Twin use cases Support the development and testing of integrations between ArcGIS and enterprise/operational systems (e.g., EAM/CMMS, ERP, BIM, SCADA/IoT, data warehouses/lakes) under the guidance of the GIS Development Lead and Integration Lead Assist in implementing and maintaining GIS data models, including spatial, time-series, and asset/linear network datasets required for core use cases Support testing, performance tuning, and optimisation of GIS services and applications to meet agreed non-functional requirements (availability, responsiveness, scalability, security) Assist in preparing technical documentation, configuration records, and operational runbooks for GIS components, and in providing post-go-live support and minor enhancements What Required Skills You ll Bring Degree in GIS, computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution Experience developing or configuring GIS solutions using the Esri ArcGIS platform (e.g., ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, web maps/apps) Working knowledge of geospatial data models, vector and raster data, spatial analysis, and basic geoprocessing techniques Basic experience with scripting or programming for GIS automation or customisation (e.g., Python, ArcPy, JavaScript, or similar), and familiarity with web GIS concepts Exposure to solutions that integrate ArcGIS with enterprise and operational systems (e.g., EAM/CMMS, ERP, BIM, SCADA/IoT platforms, data warehouses/lakes) Experience working within multidisciplinary, multinational teams across multiple time zones Strong organisational and coordination skills, with some experience in structured project or delivery environments (e.g., PMI, PRINCE2, Agile/Hybrid) Exposure to testing, acceptance, or go-live activities for complex or integrated GIS solutions Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders Fluency in spoken and written English; Arabic language skills are a strong advantage What Desired Skills You ll Bring Prior work with national infrastructure owners, transport authorities, utilities, or public works organisations Experience working on large-scale digital, Digital Twin, or smart city projects involving geospatial components Familiarity with systems integration concepts and technologies relevant to GIS (APIs, web services, message queues, event-driven architectures) Experience working with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and DevOps practices for deploying and managing GIS solutions Professional certifications in GIS or related technologies (e.g., Esri technical certifications) Desired Candidate Profile Degree in GIS, computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution Experience developing or configuring GIS solutions using the Esri ArcGIS platform (e.g., ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, web maps/apps) Working knowledge of geospatial data models, vector and raster data, spatial analysis, and basic geoprocessing techniques Basic experience with scripting or programming for GIS automation or customisation (e.g., Python, ArcPy, JavaScript, or similar), and familiarity with web GIS concepts Exposure to solutions that integrate ArcGIS with enterprise and operational systems (e.g., EAM/CMMS, ERP, BIM, SCADA/IoT platforms, data warehouses/lakes) Experience working within multidisciplinary, multinational teams across multiple time zones Strong organisational and coordination skills, with some experience in structured project or delivery environments (e.g., PMI, PRINCE2, Agile/Hybrid) Exposure to testing, acceptance, or go-live activities for complex or integrated GIS solutions Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders Fluency in spoken and written English; Arabic language skills are a strong advantage Company Industry ConstructionCivil Engineering Department / Functional Area IT Software Keywords GIS Developer Operational Digital Twin Get real-time job updates only on our App
