Infrastructure Support Specialist-Network
Job Description Roles & Responsibilities As part of the Infrastructure Support team, you will provide operational and project support to TDM Group and its global partners ensuring incidents, problems and requests are being dealt with to agreed service levels. In addition, you will be participating in the implementation of projects relevant to your area of responsibility. Beyond technical expertise, this role demands strong communication skills, effective collaboration, leadership potential, and a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement. Responsible for ensuring that all requests and incidents are resolved within SLA and to ITIL standards via effective 2nd line support and systems management Identify, diagnose and resolve IT infrastructure problems within SLA and to ITIL standards. This role focuses on network infrastructure as the main duties. Implement and manage IT infrastructure solutions and systems with a focus on networks Implement TDM Group s IT processes and security policies. Contribute to the progression of the infrastructure team by advising best practices and delivering the best possible solutions. Mentor, coach and support the team members. Demonstrate ownership and accountability in complex incidents and projects. Participate in 24x7 on-call rota Ability to travel on demand Desired Candidate Profile 6+ years of experience in the networking field with experience in leadership roles as a plus. Strong English skills, both spoken and written. Core technologies and Skills: A thorough understanding of the OSI network model, Ethernet, and TCP/IP networking Working knowledge of common network monitoring and security utilities with experience in implementing and using Zabbix as a plus. Hands-on experience implementing and administering network devices and technologies: Multi-vendor Routing and Switching platforms including Cisco, Netgear and HP. Multi-vendor UTM and Firewall appliances including Cisco, Fortinet and Sonicwall. Intrusion Prevention and DDoS Mitigation Systems. Network Management and Monitoring Systems. Wireless Systems. VPN and WAN Technologies. Microsoft Azure networking. Complementary Technologies: Knowledge and experience in Microsoft environments: Windows Server (including Active Directory). Microsoft Azure. Microsoft 365. Amazon Web Services networking. Linux server administration. Python programming. Git and version control systems. Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Ansible, GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines etc. Good technical documentation skills. Previous experience in an IT service provider organisation is a plus. Qualifications & Education Bachelor s degree (preferably in Computer/Network science/engineering related). Current CCNP and/or CCSP is required. Fortinet NSE 4 is strongly preferred. Fortinet NSE 5 and 7 are a plus. Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate is strongly preferred. Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate is a plus. AWS Certified Advanced Networking Specialty is a plus. Personal Qualities Commitment to excellence and achieving the highest standards.
