Instrumentation Supervisor

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Must have more than 10 years experience in the Oil and Gas or Power Generation industries, with a minimum of 3 years as an Instrument Maintenance Supervisor. Nb. May be required to undertake Competency Based test witnessed by the COMPANY Discipline engineer. Must have a fairly good knowledge & understanding of various process equipment. Must be able to work with computers utilizing Microsoft Windows and Office suite of packages. Shall meet all requirements for Senior Instrument Technician. Must have experience in and be able to carry out routine and non-routine maintenance on all types of instrument loops. Must be able to interpret job requests, plan and allocate works accordingly. Must have experience in and be able to supervise up to ten technicians and fitters. Must be able to provide feedback of ongoing and completed work to engineering and operations departments. Must be able to use and demonstrate all test equipment as required to carry out maintenance and fault finding works. Can read and understand drawings and functional logic diagrams, cause and effect matrices and control and safeguarding narratives. Shall have competency to work on HART and Foundation Field Bus based instruments. Training duration for Field Bus shall be taken into account. Must have experience in and be proficient in maintenance of Certified Hazardous area equipment. Must have experience with loop testing and trip testing. Must be able to demonstrate an awareness of HSE and should be a good communicator with his peers. Must be able to plan associated activities such as scaffolding and excavation works and fully familiar with various types of permit to work. Responsible for delivery of tool box talks to the technicians. Educational qualifications: OND or equal in a relevant discipline or standard based qualification (NVQ level 3) or equivalent. Nb. Must be able to read, write and speak English to IELTS level 6 equivalent. Must be capable of executing QA/QC / HSE compliance audits on site, procedures and HSE Plan.
