IT Infrastructure Engineer

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Position Overview We are seeking a skilled IT Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure that supports business-critical operations. The ideal candidate will manage servers, virtualization platforms, storage systems, networking, and cloud infrastructure while ensuring high availability, security, scalability, and optimal system performance. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain enterprise servers, storage, and virtualization platforms. Monitor and optimize IT infrastructure to ensure maximum performance and availability. Manage Windows and Linux server environments. Administer virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, or Nutanix. Deploy and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions. Configure and support enterprise storage and networking infrastructure. Perform infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and capacity planning. Monitor system health, troubleshoot infrastructure issues, and resolve incidents. Maintain technical documentation, system configurations, and operational procedures. Collaborate with cybersecurity, cloud, and networking teams to implement infrastructure best practices. Technical Skills Strong experience with Windows Server and Linux administration. Hands-on experience with VMware, Hyper-V, or other virtualization technologies. Knowledge of enterprise storage solutions (SAN, NAS). Understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy. Experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, or hybrid cloud environments. Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions. Knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and firewalls. Experience with infrastructure monitoring and automation tools is an advantage. Soft Skills Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and documentation abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Team-oriented with strong problem-solving skills. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Experience & Certifications Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 3 7 years of experience in enterprise IT infrastructure management. Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator (AZ-104), VMware VCP, Microsoft Windows Server, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent are preferred. Working Requirements Ability to provide on-call support for critical infrastructure when required. Willingness to perform scheduled maintenance outside business hours. Ability to work independently and collaboratively to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable IT operations.
