IT Specialist / System Administrator (Linux)

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Administer, maintain and support Linux servers, preferably Debian-based distributions, using the command line. Deploy, configure and maintain ZENNER software platforms in on-premise and customer environments. Provide remote and on-site technical support for customer installations, including system updates, maintenance and troubleshooting. Perform server maintenance, patching, backups, capacity management and system security. Troubleshoot Linux, system and network issues and perform root cause analysis. Manage TCP/IP networking, routing and firewall configurations. Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker; Kubernetes experience is an advantage. Monitor infrastructure and applications using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana and Alertmanager. Develop scripts and automation using Bash and Python to improve system operations and efficiency. Maintain clear technical documentation, system configurations and incident records. Work closely with internal teams, customers and external vendors to resolve technical issues and ensure system reliability. Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or a related field, or equivalent technical qualification. Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Linux System Administration. Strong hands-on experience with Linux, preferably Debian/Ubuntu. Strong command-line administration and server troubleshooting skills. Good knowledge of TCP/IP, networking, routing and firewalls. Hands-on experience with Docker is required; Kubernetes is an advantage. Experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as Prometheus, Grafana and Alertmanager is preferred. Good scripting and automation skills in Bash and Python. Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills. Good written and spoken English. Ability to work independently and support systems in both internal and customer environments.
