Junior Accountant

Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are accurately recorded. Record and maintain petty cash expenses, reimbursements, and related documentation. Maintain an organized and efficient accounting documentation and filing system. Process and record vendor and customer invoices, payments, receipts, and other accounting transactions. Perform vendor and customer account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies. Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure all transactions are properly recorded. Perform regular account reconciliations and assist in identifying and correcting discrepancies. Update and maintain accurate financial information in the accounting system/database. Assist with monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing of accounts. Assist the Accounting Manager with the preparation of financial reports and accounting schedules. Support internal and external audits by preparing required documents and information. Assist with VAT, taxation, and other statutory accounting requirements. Maintain proper records of invoices, receipts, payments, reconciliations, and supporting documents. Coordinate with other departments regarding invoices, payments, expenses, and financial documentation. Prepare routine accounting reports as required by the Accounting Manager. Perform any other accounting-related duties assigned by the management.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2–3 years of experience as a Junior Accountant, Assistant Accountant, or similar role. Experience in KSA is preferred. Experience in the construction, contracting, engineering, or related industry will be an advantage. Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial documentation. Knowledge of KSA VAT and taxation requirements is preferred. Employment Type Full-time
