Lead Software Engineer- L1 (iOS)

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities The iOS Application Support Engineer is responsible for supporting and maintaining production iOS applications built using Swift and SwiftUI . The role is aligned to L2 and L3 application support , focusing on incident resolution, root cause analysis, application stability, and continuous improvement of guest facing mobile applications in a hospitality environment. Key Responsibilities: Act as the highest escalation point for complex iOS application issues. Perform deep root cause analysis of recurring or critical incidents. Diagnose and fix code level defects in Swift / SwiftUI. Lead performance optimization and crash reduction initiatives. Support complex releases, rollbacks, and emergency hotfixes. Collaborate with backend, DevOps, and security teams on systemic issues. Proactively identify risks impacting guest experience and availability. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to L2 support engineers. Deliverables: Permanent resolution of critical and recurring iOS issues. Improved application performance, reliability, and release quality. Documented RCA reports with preventive actions. Reduced incident recurrence and improved SLA compliance. Expert level proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI . Strong knowledge of iOS architecture, debugging, and performance tuning. Experience supporting high usage, guest facing mobile applications . Tools / Platforms / Technologies: Mobile Apps (iOS Swift/SwiftUI) SQL (PostgreSQL) Monitoring Tools (Datadog, CloudWatch) Git / CI-CD Tools (GitHub, Jenkins, Azure DevOps) ITSM Tools (ServiceNow, Jira) Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills: Experience in luxury hotel or resort operations Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) Knowledge of AWS Exposure to mobile app QA/testing tooling (Firebase, TestFlight) Strong grasp of API security , caching, and CDN optimization Experience with observability enhancements (dashboards, alerts, log enrichment) Certifications (if any): ITIL Foundation Certification Apple App Development with Swift Certification ITIL Foundation (IT Service Management) Cloud or DevOps certifications supporting mobile CI/CD Desired Candidate Profile Mandatory Technical Skills: Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering. 5+ years experience in iOS development and/or L3 application support.
