Linux Systems Integration & Deployment Engineer
Job Description Roles & Responsibilities We are seeking a hands-on Systems Integration & Deployment Engineer to deploy and configure our on-premise, bare-metal infrastructure stacks across multiple customer sites. You will handle end-to-end server provisioning, navigate highly restricted or air-gapped networks, optimize high-availability (HA) setups, and serve as the calm, consultative point of contact for client IT teams under tight deadlines. Key Responsibilities Multi-Site & Air-Gap Deployment: Provision and launch physical Linux servers (Ubuntu/RHEL) automated via Ansible within secure, completely offline customer data centers. HA Stack Management: Deploy and optimize highly available LAMP/LEMP stacks utilizing Nginx (load balancing/reverse proxy) and Redis (stateful caching/atomic locking). Storage Integration: Configure and maintain enterprise storage layers, handling both clustered filesystems (GlusterFS) and S3-compatible Object Storage. Client Integration & De-escalation: Interface directly with client network teams to safely bridge our stack into their environment, diplomatically managing on-site technical conflicts or policy disputes. Documentation: Create clean offline deployment guides, dependency maps, and runbooks for explicit client handoffs. Travel: Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed Important Note Note: This is a strict bare-metal production engineering role. Candidates with cloud-only (AWS/Azure) or passive system-monitoring backgrounds will not be qualified. Required Skills Min. 3 to 5 years of experience in Linux Systems Engineering, On-Premise Infrastructure Deployment, or Systems Integration. Technical Stack: Deep Linux administration, Ansible, Nginx, Redis, GlusterFS, S3 Object Storage, and bare-metal mechanics (PXE, hardware RAID, IPMI/iDRAC). Networking Grit: Direct proficiency with network packet-tracing tools (tcpdump/wireshark) to isolate firewall drops and routing issues. Soft Skills: High emotional intelligence/composure under pressure, rapid agility to learn unfamiliar network topologies, and strong client-facing conflict resolution skills.
