Mechanical Inspector

Represent the organization as a Third-Party Inspector (TPI) at vendor manufacturing and fabrication facilities across the region. Perform shop inspections and witness quality hold points for valves (QM-07) and mechanical commodities, including material verification, dimensional checks, wall thickness, and flange facing inspections. Witness hydrostatic, pneumatic (shell, seat, backseat), and operational cycle tests in accordance with API 598, API 6D, ASME B16.34, and relevant Aramco 04-SAMSS specifications. Review Mill Test Certificates (MTC / EN 10204 3.1/3.2), verify Positive Material Identification (PMI) results, and ensure heat number traceability. Review and approve welding documentation (WPS, PQR, WQR) and witness/evaluate NDT activities (VT, PT, MT, RTFI, UT). Attend Pre-Inspection Meetings (PIM) with clients, EPC contractors, and manufacturers to finalize and align on the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP). Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and Deficiency Notices (DN) when deviations occur, tracking corrective actions through to verified resolution. Review Manufacturer Data Reports (MDR) and inspection dossiers prior to stamping and issuing the Inspection Release Certificate (IRC).

Desired Candidate Profile

We are seeking an experienced QC Mechanical / Vendor Inspector (QM-07 Approved) to join our Third-Party Inspection team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting independent vendor surveillance, shop inspections, and testing of static mechanical commodities—with a major focus on valves, pressure vessels, and piping components—strictly following Saudi Aramco standards (SAMSS), SA-175 forms, and applicable international engineering codes. Skills Aramco Approvals: Valid Saudi Aramco Approval / CBT Passed for QM-07 (Valves); additional QMs (QM-03, QM-05, QM-11,QM-12,QM-30, QM-35, QM-36, QM-37) are highly preferred.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (5+ years TPI/QC experience) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (5-6 years experience). Certifications: CSWIP 3.1 / 3.2 or AWS CWI Certified Welding Inspector. ASNT Level II in VT, PT, MT, and RTFI (UT is an advantage). API Certifications (API 510, API 570, API 598/6D awareness, API SIFE) are strongly advantageous. Codes & Standards: In-depth knowledge of Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards (SAES/SAMSS/SA-175), API 6D, API 598, ASME B16.34, ASME Section VIII, and ASME B31.3. Core Competencies: Vendor Inspection Division (VID) procedures, PIM coordination, material testing (PMI/Hardness), pressure test witnessing, NCR resolution, and IRC release documentation. Language & Communication: Strong professional English reporting and technical communication skills. Employment Type Full-time
