MEP Pre-Sales & Procurement Engineer

Projects include five-star hospitality, data centers, commercial developments, infrastructure and energy-related sectors. THE ROLE A combined pre-sales and procurement position covering MEP tendering, estimation, sourcing and post-award procurement. The role maintains technical and commercial continuity from tender pricing through to final delivery, ensuring that the technical requirements, budgets and commercial assumptions established at tender stage are maintained through execution. PRE-SALES & ESTIMATION Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs and scopes of work and translate them into accurate pricing and procurement requirements. Prepare MEP quantity take-offs, cost estimates, technical proposals and tender submissions. Identify scope gaps, exclusions, assumptions, technical risks and cost impacts during tender stage. Support value engineering and propose technically compliant alternatives that improve cost, lead time or execution efficiency. SOURCING & COMMERCIAL Issue RFQs to suppliers and subcontractors and prepare technical and commercial comparisons. Evaluate materials, equipment and brands based on technical compliance, price, availability and lead time. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, commercial conditions and delivery schedules. Develop and maintain a reliable network of MEP suppliers, manufacturers and subcontractors. POST-AWARD PROCUREMENT Manage supplier selection, purchase orders, material submittals, approvals, manufacturing follow-up and expediting. Coordinate international procurement, shipping, import documentation and customs clearance with freight forwarders and clearance agents through to site delivery. Monitor long-lead and critical MEP items against project requirements and programme. Maintain procurement records, supplier comparisons, purchase commitments and delivery status.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Minimum 7 years of relevant MEP experience, with proven hands-on involvement in pre-sales, tendering, estimation and procurement, and the ability to carry a project from tender pricing through to procurement Strong depth in the core discipline, with sufficient multidisciplinary knowledge to review and price mechanical, electrical, plumbing, firefighting and ELV requirements Proven experience in supplier sourcing, RFQs, technical and commercial evaluation and negotiation Experience with international procurement and logistics, including coordination of shipping documentation and customs clearance Strong commercial awareness of pricing, payment terms, lead times, alternatives and procurement risks Previous experience with an MEP contractor, EPC contractor or construction company Site or project execution experience is an advantage PACKAGE Competitive salary based on experience, accommodation, transportation, flights and full in-country support.
