Job Description Roles & Responsibilities About Tap Tap Payments is revolutionizing online payments across the MENA region by connecting businesses with simple, unified payment experiences. The Technology Team Our technology team builds the platforms, systems, and payment infrastructure our merchants use to process millions of transactions daily. This team is building technology solutions to simplify MENA payments regionally and globally for businesses of all sizes. As a Tapster you will: Design, implement, and manage scalable network architectures across on-premises and multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) Automate network provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management Manage and optimize core networking components including routing, switching, load balancers, DNS, VPNs, and firewalls Implement cloud networking solutions such as VPC/VNet design, hybrid connectivity (VPN/Direct Connect/ExpressRoute), and network segmentation Build and maintain automated workflows for network monitoring, alerting, and self-healing mechanisms Integrate network telemetry and observability tools for proactive issue detection Support zero-downtime deployments and ensure network readiness for high availability and disaster recovery scenarios Design and execute automated failover strategies and multi-region network redundancy models Troubleshoot complex network incidents across cloud and on-prem environments, performing root cause analysis (RCA) Implement security best practices including segmentation, zero trust principles, and firewall policy automation Collaborate with DevOps, SRE, and Security teams to align network automation with platform engineering standards Develop and maintain network documentation, runbooks, architecture diagrams, and automation templates Conduct capacity planning, performance tuning, and continuous optimization of network infrastructure Support incident response and participate in on-call rotations for critical network services What you will bring to the party: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience 5+ years of experience in network engineering, infrastructure, or cloud networking roles Strong hands-on experience with enterprise networking (routing, switching, firewalls, load balancing, DNS) Solid experience with cloud networking in AWS, Azure, or GCP Proficiency in automation and scripting (Python, Bash, or similar) Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible Strong understanding of hybrid cloud connectivity and multi-region architectures Familiarity with network observability and monitoring tools Knowledge of security principles including segmentation, VPNs, and zero trust architecture Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills in complex distributed environments Experience working in high-availability, mission-critical environments is highly preferred Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical teams Are you ready to shape the future of payments in MENA?
